I would be happy for Nobby to take the reins again, did nothing wrong in his first stint as coach. Knows the club inside out, loves the club, knows the players, makes a lot of sense in many ways, needs an up and coming assistant to take up the reins in the future.

Taking the emotion of him being a club legend out of the equation, it would be a smart appointment. We don't need to rebuild, we just need to carry on improving. Appointing the guy who's been involved in the coaching/training of the last two years gives us that continuity.

Well as I alluded to a week or two ago, Noble is clearly a dominant figure at the club which might limit the options for employing an experienced head coach. So perhaps it might make sense for him to actually be the head coach - however it is a big commitment for a Nobby who I assume wasn't putting in the hours that EOC did. He would be a popular choice amongst the majority of the fan base though and is clearly committed to not jumping ship halfway through the job.
Wonder if they will still bring somebody else in to assist? Or are we well stocked with Greenwood and Morrison already at the club?
