I think the Robins has been HKR nickname for many years .When i was a kid , Hull were the Airlie Birds ,Leeds the Loiners , Huddersfield Fartown, Widnes the Chemics. Salford were called the Red Devils even before a neighbouring football team hijacked the tag.
Not forgetting Wakefield Trinity.
