Unless we can do some deals for a couple of forwards and pay Sao off.
Pretty sure Myers is banned for the first 4-5 games of next season, not sure if there's anything else in the championship worth a look maybe Kieren Gill, the other option is to pay a fee but unsure who is realistic and how much cap we have.

Surely not every signing we maje under Cartwright is a player he trusts, limits our options.
I agree with that but the reality nobody gives a 29 Year old a 3 year deal that must be decent enough to be worth relocating from the North West just to be a back up or squad player. The club think he can do a job as the starting centre think that’s always been the plan, maybe he’ll surprise a few people.

I didn't say sign him, someone like him, an up and coming centre, but more experienced than the likes of Westerman and Dawson.

I agree. Chamberlain should be a squad player or bench player at best. I've seen enough of him to suggest he is solid and will do a decent job but not good enough to start. As DSJ1983 stated he's been given a 3 year contract which would suggest he'll be more than a bit part player.
We really need a decent centre and another forward preferably a prop. Easier said then done.

said all along he will be a starting centre with Hardaker and giving him a three year deal is a joke. We are really going places with that strike partnership which will send shivers through S/L opposition with their pace and power

Bet the comments about Chamberlin have made your day

Not really interested in what others think My concern is the club should be aiming a lot higher than most of the dross Myler has brought in. Also make the point that the 2/3 year contracts they are on will work against what they are able to do for the 2026 recruitment so effectively we are looking at most of the same players in 2025 taking the field in 2026. My opinion is the lack of quality and pace will see the club once again struggle to compete with most clubs. This will mean having to start again by releasing/paying off several of the new signings and go with a quality not quantity plan as Myler should have done instead of making panic and desperation signings. Our latest two quota signings are an example of that.
