I was at Melbourne in '92 to witness a barely believable victory in the pouring rain that night, only for normal service to be resumed seven days later at Brisbane in the decider. Still, we enjoyed the week in-between at Surfers
Fifty-four years and still waiting the next one to come around. I feel we are as far away from winning a series against them as we ever have been throughout this whole time!
I was also lucky enough to be at the three 1959 Ashes matches in England which was the last time we won them in England. Tommy Harris and Johnny Whiteley played in that series.
Was also there at the '92 Melbourne game where Schofield had a memorable outstanding match - perhaps the best I have ever seen him play, in GB's thumping victory. Paul Eastwood played on the wing and 8 Wigan players started with their players forming the whole forward pack.
Alas I was also in Brisbane to see the Ashes not regained once again.
