As others have said, it seems highly unlikely that this announcement is just a coincidence.

Gill Spencer takes over as Club President for Leeds on November 1st so I am guessing that's probably the earliest we are likely to hear some official news.

With the first deadline for memberships being 3rd November i imagine the club might want to get any news out as early as possible

If it is Thirkill is anyone worried that a lifelong Leeds fan might only be doing it to give his son in law a job ? What happens if Richie does the dirty on his daughter, once a pork swordsman's, always one. I would might prefer a local based fan investor but we don't seem to cultivate them this side of the river.

I doubt the timing of him stepping down from the role at Leeds has any real relevance on the timescale of potentially buying shares in Hull. Players/coaches/staff commitments tend to run until Nov 1st for SL clubs. Once it’s all sorted legally I’m sure they’ll announce something. That’s even if it’s ever announced in his name.

Do we have any other choice? No SL club is self sufficient at the moment and nobody from the City is interested.

I still think people are jumping the gun with it all, but I think it’s safe to say the main motivation if AT is the investor will be to set RM up in a decent job, so it’s only logical that he’s going to want to make sure he’s provided with the resources to make a good fist of it isn’t he? Like I said we don’t really have a lot of choice, with the Covid loans and TV deals it looks next to impossible to grow organically in SL at the moment.

Yes they club has done simliar anniversary shirts in the past and have recently been posting about the 2005 shirt.

Hopefully the 2025 kit will be similar, both the 2005 kits were smart. This season's home shirt was a really poor design, too much black.
