Nui's Wikipedia page has been updated to include Leigh for next year so someone's on the ball

That was a hostplus (QLD) Grand final which was 2 weeks ago, and this latest final was the State Grand final ( QLD v NSW ) I Think.

Cokey, you are quite correct. I also agree with Leyther in NZ's observation that he is carrying quite a bit of extra poundage.

Cokey is correct. Regarding his weight, he did look a lot heavier than a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully he gets a full pre season with us and can get his size to were it should be.

Priority for next season surely has to be to get Ipape to sign an extension. I'm guessing it is very unlikely Lam will extend, unless no NRL offers come in. Would like to see Halton extend as well. Most improved player this year.

I get the feeling Lammy Snr and Ipape will sign up to a certain point before going to the new PNG NRL side in 2028. Lammy is signed up to 2027 so just need Edwin to add another 2 years.

The other major issue revolves around Matt Moylan. Offensively a strong choice but defensively he is not suited to playing in the halves, and with David Armstrong nailed on to play Fullback, the options for Moylan are narrowing. I have come round to the feeling that it would be beneficial for Leigh, if Matt retires and gives Chezzy time to bring in an Aussie halfback. There is O'Brien and McNamara as backup, but a sprinkling of gold dust would be ideal, and a player who can sure up the right edge in defence.

With Amone, O;Donnell and Asiata departing, Condon and Liu arriving, Leigh are still an overseas player short in the pack. Of course the club have yet to announce the European/British signings, but there really needs to be a first team Forward in the recruitment. The names mentioned so far do not meet this criteria. I would expect Hughes, Davis and Brand to remain at the club, which would suggest at least 7 new signings. Expecting some announcements next week.

Matt Davis signed a new 2 year deal this year to 2026. https://leighleopards.co.uk/matty-davis ... extension/

There’s also a few that haven’t been formally announced but absent from the departures list that will more than likely be staying - Jack Hughes, Keenan Brand, Jack Derbyshire, Nathan Wilde and Kavan Rothwell.
