Wigan Warriors Crowned Champions Again in 2024 The final game of the 2024 Super League season pitched the top two sides over the regular season against one another in the Grand Final at Old Trafford as defending champions Wigan Warriors looked for back-to-back trophies against a Hull KR side appearing their first ever flagship event.
Traditional Grand Final day weather greeted the sides, rain pouring onto an already sodden turf, in a stadium adorned with red and white and cherry and white as the Robins looked to upset the formbook and the bookies odds and become only the fifth name to be etched onto the trophy.
The Warriors were handicapped by six points on the coupon, but many pundits thought that the gap would be wide in Wigan's favour after two wins in the three meetings between the two sides this season, although only four points separated the sides the last time that they met at the beginning of September.

Great achievement especially to win all four titles this season. Really looks like we and all other teams are light years away.
P.s. glad you won. Revenge was had, Pinocchio isn’t laughing anymore.
Enjoy.
For me we were nowhere near light years ahead of Hull KR tonight, it took a great individual moment and great defence to win today, I think Hull KR will be kicking themselves, they had the territory but really didn’t chance their arm.

Just watched the BBC highlights - brilliant defence from both teams & it could've gone either way at any time. However, that hit on Junior....Burgess comes in with a forearm to his head whilst on the ground, then jogs away like butter isn't melting. If that's not picked up by the disciplinary, wtf are they watching? Never had Budgy as a dirty player but that was as bad as it gets.

I couldn’t see the replay from where I was sat but I was very surprised how a player could get dropped like that and not be some sort of foul play. I will have to watch the replay to comment properly.

I disagree, we had ample opportunity to put that game to bed, HKR never looked like scoring. That’s not to say that they didn’t put a great shift in though.
