The Man of Steel humbled you'd have to say. Undone by French, comprehensively outplayed by Smith, conceded the penalty that sealed Wigan's victory. It's a shame for him.

To be fair he has a massive job on his hands every match since his half back partner is an absolute waste of a jersey.

Congratulations Wigan on an historic quadruple, fully deserved after a tremendous year.
Congratulations also to rovers for doing the 'double' (second in the league, second best in the Grand Final).
Big shout to Bevan French. The guy is a throwback to the days when players used to play 'off the cuff' and no one cared about fiddly matters like 'game plans'!!
Since 1985, Since 1985, You haven't won...
I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.
Money doesn't talk it swears, Obscenity who really cares, Propaganda all is phony.
I'm the son and heir of a shyness which is criminally vulgar.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.

Wigan are a great team, one of the best of the SL era but fair play to Rovers (hate saying that) they gave everything but came up short. Most teams would have buckled and have been well beaten but they fought to the end.
Having said that....Rovers just don't do finals.
Fun over need to concentrate on ourselves. There's a lot of work to do.

Rovers best two players Parcell and Hall won't be here next year.
Waits for the proud comments from their fans, but in reality that's two finals they have failed to turn up, how many more chances will they get.
Were we around in 2013 when Wigan beat us in the cup final?
Definitely won't be as easy for them next year. This was the year to win it, with teams like Saints and Catalans been poor. They'll both be very strong teams next year and Warrington will look better after another off season together. Top 4 for them next year will be a tough ask. Capable of it still, but harder to achieve than this year.
