Lengthy statement from the club today. Patting themselves on the back quite a bit but also planning to be at Cherry Red in the Championship next season. Unclear where funding for that is coming from.

Very worrying. They must commit to the league soon yet discussions with investors are not at an advanced stage. Having driven away so many hardcore fans, they now have a business plan based around increasing fan revenue. In the Championship with far fewer away fans to assist revenues
Credit to those involved in the rescue attempt and I genuinely hope they succeed but...

It’s good to get some detail and to see they are trying to move things forward. I hope they succeed but the clock is definitely ticking.

Has anyone here ever thought of, or reckoned at doing a Exeter City FC trust model?
It is a stupid idea as Exeter back when it was established had 4,000 crowds when we were in the poop, but could we as Brocs supporters do something smaller, but keep the club alive? A community thing without the community?
I mean pull our professional skills, and contacts together to start from the bottom, and build something?

utter bollox the club is a basket case paying 3 wages, of which 2 are a waste of time.
sorry. but 30 million spazzed away is no reason for a thank you. 10% of that spent where i told them and we'd be a top 6 SL side.
Hughes killed us......he deserves no thanks. The fact his son got a job speaks volumes........
.....500 or fewer average next year....SL in 2 is a dream and totally a lie. i have £500,000 in a UK bank that i cant get to at prwsent. I wouls rather give it to the inland revenue than Lobster........and ge is an accountant
The Broncos actively targeted the one supporters body which may have been able to assist via the Trust model, ensuring it's effective demise.
Given the timescales there probably isn't time to stand up a Trust and gett it running a team next season. Trusts really need to be in existence before it hits the fan. Even if you had time, I suspect many of the leading contenders to step up were so badly scarred by their last efforts, they would find something else to do with their time.

Whatever people's thoughts are on Hughes and where exactly he went wrong, I personally don't see any point in discussing it. He's gone and there's a time for discussing him and his tenure but for now, this isn't the time.
I'm presuming it is £175 for an adult membership, so some very simple vape packet maths makes that 2,000 adult season tickets, though that doesn't take into account anyone that purchases some form of hospitality membership and any concessions, which will surely be cheaper than £175. Did the club even have 2,000 season ticket holders in 2024? Probably not. Even if you make the target 1,500, which is still incredibly ambitious and average out their memberships at £150, there's still an £87,000 shortfall. Really it's riding on external investment as the fanbase is not realistically going to raise £350,000 in a month.
There should be a fan's forum. I know the club is saying they'll host one, the Supporter's Association should be organising their own for their members so that if the club gets around to announcing a date, they're armed with questions. I also think any Supporter's Association should be meeting with someone like the Football Supporters Foundation, whom took over from Supporters Direct, regarding potential fan ownership and if the worst was to happen, how to start a fan owned club in 2026 whether that is a League One club or a Southern Conference side.
