Potentially catastrophic signing, prize D**kh**d. he's like the mate of a mate who always causes trouble on a night out, that no one wants inviting your mate goes "he's alright i'l will keep an eye on him he won't be any bother" then he's scrapping with one of your other mates after causing trouble with someone else first.
But its done now he's one of ours, so prepared to give him Benefit of doubt. hopefully Arthurs can keep him focused and get him consistent. but the crowd will soon get on his back if he carries on the way he has at other clubs.

From what Ive heard he is not a trouble maker off the field and is well liked by teammates - it's his onfield antics that need reigning in

Interesting, as I have heard him described as 'locker room poison'

I'm optimistic about all the signings so far, although this one seems to be the one that is most likely to be hit or miss in a more spectacular fashion.
One thing this signing brings is a more exuberant personality to the team. Smith's team seemed from the outside to be full of quiet, humble and introverted types (or 'dudes' as Smith would say, which always felt slightly painful to hear). Adding Connor to the mix, and bringing players like Bentley and Newman to the fore in the right way, could really help re-balance the team in terms of its mentality.

One thing that Jake does bring is a creative kicking game which isn't just stick the ball up in the air on the 5th, we've missed that, Austin brought a bit of that to us in his time here and I think we've missed that.

Agree with most of what’s been said. I’m personally not a fan and think his ego is bigger than his talent. However, he certainly has the potential to be one of those players that home fans love and opposition fans hate. Let’s hope it goes well. It probably means we’ll end up with the most petulant centre pairing the league has ever seen!
