Yeah he should have done better, he’s lost concentration and missed the movement of the ball.
If it was so hard to catch you’d see these kind of howlers all the time.

I’ve only just got over Friday. I’m trying to forget it ever happened…
Plus sides, we played well all things considered. Rothwell and Tanaka were good, they won’t be tested much more than that this season. Gnonto was absolutely superb. Piroe did very well and took his goal lovely. Thought Joseph looked shot of confidence when he was on though.
All in all 2 good away points. Interesting to see what we do in the free market… January window probably can’t come soon enough though. We just need to make sure we’re in the mix for top 2 at that point which I think we will.
Oh and Friday night kick off is a joke after international break

I would imagine Firpo, Tanaka and Aaronssen will be sleepwalking come Friday night. Neither will know if they`re batting or bowling. Only hope is James plays and Gnonto fills the ten role and possibly Byram for Firpo. Not a lot of cover for Tanaka though unless Shmidt can play there first half at least.

I’d be amazed if we didn’t bring in a midfielder free agent. Must be someone out there we can bring in who we can get fit over the international break

I just don't see us bringing anyone in until January. By the time any free agent gets up to speed it will likely be nearly January anyway. They'll obviously consider it, but I doubt there's anyone whose available that they want

Know what you’re saying, I’d say it’s this international break or nothing imo as it’d be a decent time to get some fitness dome. But then there’s match fitness too but let’s see. Someone may come back from qatar or something

Didn’t take long for the Goalkeepers Union to come out in support The pundits were saying the international break will leave Meslier frustrated at not being able to right his wrong, but I disagree. It would have been straight into the lions den for him this weekend, tremendous pressure. I’m happy for the break in that respect, we won’t forget what happened but will be talking about many other things by the time the next game comes around.

I've seen mobile footage that shows a big change of direction. given he was slagged off for, ridiculously, not saving a penalty he was never getting away with this one!!!!

It did spin away, but, he let it land and took his eye off the ball, you could see it was spinning, it's a howler. He could have caught it before it bounced to negate the spin, or he could see it was spinning and should have anticipated it moving... it's a big mistake no getting away from it.
However, we move on, get behind him as we have no other choice, Darlow is no better, he's the best keeper we have at the club and need him to get his confidence back.
