They've been playing knock out football for about six weeks now, battle hardened to say the least, hopefully ticket sales will buck up now, next week deserves a good crowd, should be a cracker
It'll be standard play off stuff with the crowd. We'll sell about 9/10k and there will be about 15k on. We'll get pelters from across the game even though it'll be comfortably the biggest crowd of all the play off ties.
As for the game, it's a nervy one with it being Leigh but get our game right and we'll be ok. I remember once or twice us needing a good end of the season to get in the play offs and managing to then get through a round or two but then hitting a brick wall (usually at Headingley). We need to make sure we're that brick wall.
Facing up to the winners of Leigh/Salford was always my preferred choice. I'm just glad of the week off after watching those 4 sides knock lumps out of each other. Plus Josh Charnley wont be playing and their squad isnt that deep.
Their main strike player is out, they do have some outstanding players Ipape,Lam,Mulhern etc but we are at home and have more outstanding players French,Wardle,Marshy,Field etc etc.Put it this way I would be more shocked if we lost than if we won.
Saying that it should be a war of attrition a bit like the last 2 playoff games. Looking forward to this with same amount of excitement as with worry, should be a good one.

They won't lose loads in the grand scheme of things with Hardaker and Hanley at wing/centre in some order and O'Donnell back in for Halton.
We need to control their front row. Ipape is outstanding, as is Amone and Mulhern is playing out of his skin. Do that and there is too much pace in the Wigan side for them.

Just going off Wigan's social media post this morning, can only assume it is accurate.

It'll pick up over the week just like it did against Hull KR last year and be a respectable crowd but Wiganers do seem to have a habit of giving semi-finals a miss, be it Challenge Cup or SL. Always frustrating when a playoff game has a poorer turnout than the equivalent league game. Important the fans get behind the team this week and give them the support they deserve.
