I started the day going for a 25k bike ride in my Snow Leopard cycle jersey for luck, watched the game and scared the hell out of the neighbours yelling, and have just finished off watching it a second time with wife and son.
So many highlights but I want to say how important our unsung heroes were today.
Owen Trout had his best game. The game time Lam gave him at the start of the season instead of bringing in loanees is showing now.
Zak Hardaker stepped up and played pack and wing and fullback. Was all out both ways.
Aaron Pene was a handful and looked more like a starting prop. Can’t wait for next season.
Brad Dwyer came on and caused enough scramble from Salford to give Ipape and co the room to cut them up.
Darnell Mcintosh did everything right !
Gaz O’Brien threw everything he had into the whole game and looked quite emotional when he scored his try.
The rest of the team were of course immense in every way but today was all about total commitment from 17, that quickly became 16, that then became 15 at a vital time of the game.
Great to hear Josh is ok. Scared the bejesus out of me when he didn’t move.
Proud Vancouver Leyther tonight !!!
Still not 100% on Pene you can see there is a player in there but he needs to take a leaf out of Amones book and concentrate on running hard rather than trying to offload all the time. He does put us under pressure at times.
