If we had pulled that sort of performance out for a lot of the season we would likely have made the playoffs. Our pack handled Bradfords huge forwards very well and we know we have more quality in the backs which I thought really showed. Some massive individual performances in there amid one of the more bang average performances I have seen from an official who looked out of his depth and just a bizarre ending to the game made for great entertainment value.

I must admit I thought we did very well to keep the score at 10-8 down at half time, Bradford were bigger and stronger - Scurr and Souter in particular were a handful and Pele is a beast. And dare I say it, I've always rated Lilley who put in a lively performance.

For Fax, Larroyer was my MOM but the whole team was excellent, and the crowd the noisiest all season - a great atmosphere.

A strong post match interview from Finn. He referred to the turning point of the season being the Widnes/Batley games after getting rid of "dead wood and bad people" and also "a cancer and back stabbing". The only player I can see leaving round about this time was Lannon.

Greg Eden. Listen into his Radio Leeds interview too - he talks about the Bradford away game.

When Lannon came of against Widnes you could tell something was afoot.

Not only keeping it down to 8 - 10 at half time but more importantly pressing on and getting the additional 6 - 0 in our favour by fulltime, to nil a top 3 team in that period was huge.

As to individuals who cause problems in the dressing room and getting rid, enough said and good

Just a relief to secure our stay in the championship, Larroyer did with the rest of the pack stand up to much bigger opponents. I haven't a clue what happened at the end with the sending off and sin binnings just glad we got the win. Just goes to show what we could of achieved this year if we could of had more performances like that and just a rumour i heard yesterday is that we are after Ryan Sheridan to replace Finn not Murell but the Game caller seems to think otherwise.

Watched the highlights (twice!) and cannot for the life of me see where a fax player was offside as the hooter sounded ..... Pele threw the ball back inside and we patted it out. Then the penalty at the end ...... Bradford knocked it on so (surely?) that should be the "first" decision before any penalty for fisty cuffs which went on after, unless I don't know the rules. I'm loathe to criticise referees because it's a hard job, but yesterday's ref was bloody awful!

Well, last night's wander around town was very pleasant, Lol! A great ending to our Shay season and gives us hope for the future. MotM for me was Salty with special praise also for Tangata, Keyes, Gee and Larroyer who I thought had his best game ever in a Fax shirt! To say the difference in position and spend between the two teams the only player i would have taken from the bulls on yesterday's performance would be Evan Scurr who had a stormer as sub. Well done lads. Elland Craft & Tap, North Riding US Session 3.8% Mmm! Up The Fax!

Mick hears half a story, puts 2 and 2 together and gets 5

He said Crooks was leaving us for Cas, a few weeks later its announced he is doing some voluntary coaching there to gain experience.

Said Murrell was coming as head coach, few days later League Express report Murrell has turned down an assistants role.

He has form for being wrong, a lot.

And these are not even the two best Halifax-related gaffes of recent years. Remember when he said Fax were looking to sign Sam Luckley from Salford and Ollie Roberts from Huddersfield, and both players replied on Twitter basically saying "news to me"? And then after his "season-long loan" story on Roberts turned out to be false, he claimed it as true when Roberts played on DR 6 months after he wrote his initial tweet.

I’m sure half of his statements are taken from the rumours off the forums and he just adds his own bit of shall we say “inventiveness.

Whilst he does it with every club he loves to sh*t stir it with Fax at every opportunity followed by whoever Bradford’s nearest rivals are such as your own club Fev regularly in the past.

We all speculate with varying degrees of accuracy the difference is we’re not journalists and you would expect something a bit better when it’s your profession.
