Will be very happy to have a 100% Fitz in the team. If we have signed this George Hirst the other 2nd row spot might be between him and Holroyd. Unless we have designs on a more experienced player already?
I think you are expecting a lot for Hirst to step up to SL and hit the ground running.
I wouldn't be surprised if Sione Mata'utia turned up here next year. There is a strong connection with Newcastle Knights players here that he played with previously.

I think it was for one season. Also Leon needs competition
Abe Froman wrote:The WOW signing being speculated about was Nathan Cleary. Won't be happening to my knowledge, but fair play to SM for the attempt.
It came to an abrupt end when Cleary asked Alexa: "Alexa, compare Warrington to the beaches of Sydney" and "Alexa, is Nathan Cleary worth more than Blake Austin's wage packet?".

I'm sure that we can whip him into shape...
I did keep an eye on him when we played London and without being too harsh as he's young and played in a well beaten team and I've liked what I've seen previously (in glimpses), but I think that the lad fluffed his lines if that was an audition.
Maybe it was a simple touch of the hors d'oeuvres, the thrill of the greasepaint and smell of the crowd, or playing against his future teammates thinking he had a point to prove but he's a project signing for me.

That's why I had a problem with his signing at th3 time it was raised, we've now got 2 projects 7s.
