Not just players but finances too, can’t split the current deal 14 ways. Only way it could work in the short term is if you brought in Toulouse as a 14th team and made Catalan and Toulouse find their own TV deal.

Throw in (hopefully) a decent Cup run and a tilt at the Play Offs and you soon realise how 'thin' the competition is, not to mention loop fixtures skewing the league table. Next year we might have to beat Wigan five times ha ha
I'd prefer a fully funded 14 Club league but that's not happening anytime soon, as often discussed it's not in our paymasters best interests

I sort of wonder if an extra trophy competition (like the old regal trophy) would add a bit of extra excitement, but then it would only generate extra revenue for the teams that progress. And I guess it would be seen as a bit of a Mickey Mouse competition (can I say that without a Disney Lawsuit these days?) by the fans.
I can't stand the loop fixtures, it's a xrying shame we don't have the funding for a 14 or 15 team competition. I really think that Superleague really needs some intrugue and a change of story with a few new club winning it. Hopefully it can start this season with us, if not Hull KR then either Leigh/ Salford. It's not a great draw for investment, with a league won by saints or Wigan every season. Nothing against those clubs by the way and I'm not saying they havent/ don't deserve their successes because they absolutely do. I wouldn't have any complaints with Wigan winning it this season either they have been the best team, I think it would be better for the league though, if us or Hull KR win the grand final for the seasons we have both had, and the interest it could generate in superleague.
