I reckoned it were closer to 2k at the time. The RFL came out before the season and said they would be doing random audits on crowd figures but clearly they were not doing them in the seasons before and with a 3 year average Bradford know they can drop their crowds this season and still make it over the 3.5k mark needed for the extra points. It stinks really.
In that same season, they played Workington at Odsal and a Bulls fan posted a pic of the teams coming out from under the main terracing, with a comment that it was the most sparse they'd ever seen it and indeed it looked empty, yet the crowd was given as 2,691. Would be great if someone has the time and patience to look for the pic! Incidentally, the crowds for the 2022 season are thus:

No Crookes or Morgan this week so only change I'd make from last week would be to bring McComb or Salty onto the wing allowing halves and fullback to return to starus quo.

You should compile your dossier of evidence and hand it over to the authorities - we might need a full investigation!!

Bit of a strange season really for Bradford and they must be disappointed that every coresponding fixture is down on last years attendance.

But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."― Albert Einstein "Everybody gets so much information all day long that they lose their common sense." ― Gertrude Stein "Don't believe everything you read on the internet" ― Abraham Lincoln
We need to forget all this rivalry and remember what both Halifax and Bradford have achieved together that had far reaching positive consequences.
For example as the story goes one dark night old Percy Shaw is on his back from Bradford to Halifax and when he gets as far as Queensbury with the fog as thick as pea soup, barely being able to see his hand in front of his face never mind the road ahead he’s in real danger of going over the edge crashing to his death.
Suddenly coming in the other direction his headlights pick up the shining gleam of a pair of cats eyes.
In that moment a brilliant idea forms in his mind that if only all roads had these to guide the way how much safer things would be and on surviving the ordeal the rest of the road studs cats eyes history is there for all to see.
As the late great Ken Dodd once said if the cat had been walking in the opposite direction Percy would have invented the pencil sharpener.
EDIT In fact just scroll 2 posts down on the link to see the 2 pics of both central stands. 2,691 attendance? You really are having a laugh!
Pretty bad that but not really surprising. IMG have been very clear that attendances have to be people physically in the stadium to cut this sort of thing out but Bradford will have 2 years of that not been the case in their IMG grading which will get them above the 3.5k threashold when the reality is they are below it. They will miss out on SL anyway but can you imagine the uproar if they had a chance to make it in because of the difference in that score.

That would be a bit pointless really seeing as 'the authorities' are part of the whole plan, or corruption to give it a better name. BTW, how's big Nige these days?

Apparently big nige is doing a sponsored walk from odsal to the shay tomorrow to help raise funds for the club , he was gonna run but the councils figured the damage to the pavements would outweigh the money raised from the run .
