The only one we need answering is when is Pearson going? That will be how the future of the club is decided. If he stays with investment I think we're done. If he goes and a whole reset begins then we can all get behind the club hopefully moving forward as the fans have lost hope, interest and the club is on a knife edge
Couldent have put it better myself.
I used to think Pearson was a savvy business man now im wondering if buying Hull City who were playing way below their potential was just good timing, his record of appointing managers and directors certainly isnt good. I cant see what he offers if he isnt the 'money man' anymore, he hasnt ever got his head around RL and the addmitedly odd way the RFL operate.
Well its hard to see that he could say really in fact at this juncture in things as we hit rock bottom his wall of silence approach would have been much more effective for him, for now at least. But instead he does this not after the last game, but now.
So, for me it is great to see something from the club at last tainted, though it perhaps is, by the advent of the new season ticket scheme but personally I think this is a lot more than the usual Adam begging bowl and just about selling tickets. We've been conned year after year by fine words at this time of year which does tend you to see anything as just a sales pitch. However for me this is an attempt at much more than that. I wonder as some has said if this is the Harbinger of big change perhaps Adam is going perhaps Grix is going otherwise his alluding to instigating change can't really fit anyone else because besides Myler himself there really isn't anyone.
When he says "But clearly, certain members of our organisation are not delivering on their roles, and ultimately we need to make A change". The use of 'a change' rather than changes after using 'certain members' is interesting. If he was to shake everyone up in a sort of cosmetic exercise or cut a few players he would have said 'changes' but this points for me to a lot more than that and perhaps someone senior is either being shipped out or removed or even that the organisation is being restructured around a fundamental shift.
Lwets see what happens next shall we??

Agree Pete, as you say the ‘certain members’ doesn’t leave much to the imagination as there aren’t many people left that seemingly fit into this category. With a new Head Coach and assistant coming in along with players already exiting it makes me wonder if it will be Grix or someone higher up the chain if there is a takeover rather than simply investment.
Change is and has already been underway so it’s an odd statement to make in admitting the club are failing its supporters be them fans or corporates.
Could the timing be linked to any possible pre cursor of confirmation/completion of a takeover?
Ones things for sure it’s going to be an interesting week or weeks ahead to see how this pans out. Clearly Myler is a very frustrated DOR at present.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Let's try to look at this latest development from a positive angle.
Firstly, Myler has come out and decided to say something, to attempt to communicate with his audience (the fanbase) which is a start at least. I do wonder if yesterday's horror show (the latest, of course, in a long line) brought forward this communique by a week as he felt the need to act now rather than in the week after this horror show has finally ended.
Secondly, Myler acknowledges that we have got ourselves into a bit of a pickle (to put it mildly) and that our current state is due to a number of errors over a number of years and not one simple mistake enacted out last year (which would be nice and easy to rectify it that was to be the case). Acknowledging that a problem exists is the first step towards addressing that problem and then to, hopefully, solving the issue. Although as our problems are many and multi-faceted this will not be a quick fix by any stretch.
The impression I got from reading that statement was that Myler was choosing his words carefully, possibly due to 'politics' within the club which, for fairly obvious reasons, none of us are aware of. He may, during his short time at the club, have identified the areas of most concern where we are failing especially badly and there are plans in place to address those areas as soon as is practically possible. But as a senior member of the organization he has a duty to all concerned that this process is carried out with due diligence and in the correct manner.
I know some on here would prefer him to come out 'shooting from the hip' but the real world doesn't work like that. Things are bad enough with us without the club starting to wash its dirty linen in public, that won't help anyone. Myler has a duty to the people who work for him as well as we, the fanbase.
So, Myler has acknowledged we have problems and he acknowledges that we, the fanbase, are unhappy with our situation. It's step one on the road back to where we all wish to be. It's what his answers and solutions are to our problems that will determine whether we are on the correct road back or we are simply about to wander down yet another blind alley here.
Apologies if all this sounds a bit 'club-apologist' to some on here, but as I said earlier I get the impression Myler is having to play 'politics' here. Battles aren't always won by a full-frontal attack, sometimes they're won by cunning and stealth. I think there are some things he would like to say, but feels he can't and I suspect that will be bound to irritate some people.
I am no 'club-apologist', trust me I am just as disgusted and frustrated at how this club has been allowed to drift ever downwards and backwards to where we find ourselves this weekend as much as everyone else on here. We all have different ways of expressing how we feel about how the club has let us down so badly over so many years, some are forceful, some are cynical, some look for the smallest positives to cling onto, but we all have no choice but to hope that Myler (or someone else at the club) starts making some correct decisions and starts making them right now or our club will continue to go backwards ever closer to the abyss where oblivion waits for this great club.
I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.
