Strangely enough, Jack Farrimonds Dad replied to a tweet of mine last night and after a couple of tweets back and forth he was full of praise for both youth systems saying "Its not a coincidence that the teams who invest in and back their youth are the clubs who've won the grand final"
Very true. And there's a very big chance that it will be a Saints v Wigan Academy final too
For all the good HKR are doing, the chances of them continuing to compete at the top of the table are slim unless they start to bring some players through their systems. Outside of Mikey Lewis, there aren't any academy players in their top 20/25 players and signing 36/37 year old forwards may work for a year or so but replacements will be needed in the blink of an eye. I look at Wire and the penny looks to be dropping for them (with the help of Burgess). It's the only way to sustain success in a salary capped sport.
