Hmm you make a good point.

The replies from FC fans on social media doesn’t exactly refute the suggestion of a toxic fan base. Just wish the player well and end it there.

It's not the happiest of fan bases right now. Although I will point out the same thing as I did on our board, that social media isn't exactly a hotbed of reasoned debate and shouldn't be taken as representative of anything really.

For my part, I wish him well and hope his luck with injuries turns. He's been decent for us but he's only played 26 games in 2 years so I can understand why we've let him go. Not that we seem to have a replacement lined up though
I look forward to watching FC get a pasting of Wakey next year

As a supporter of Hull for over sixty five years and more, I have attended many games home and away, many times at Wakey, very rarely seen trouble on the terraces, were real fans contribute, occasionally it has occurred, last time as I posted was a few years back, minor alcohol related stupidity.

Our supporters as duff as our team has been for a decade or more, usually help the coffers of all our opponents with much needed revenue, the guys I travel with are responsible respectful people who take their children and grandchildren with them, long suffering we may be, noisy and supportive most certainly, toxic, get a grip man.

A lot of these internet mindless comments are probably from rogue interlopers who suit their own agenda, and love the hate, this old faithful wishes Truey and Scott all the very best for their efforts over the years and good luck to them at Wakey, probably keeping their own council on social media would be an astute move for young professionals.

And as all at Hull say farewell to these two, a special player of ours Danny Houghton closes in on 450 appearances with never a hint of toxicity, just an ambassador for our great game.

Watching FC totally capitulate against Leeds last night, I hope Trueman has enough gumption to stay on the injured list until their season ends. Why rush himself back to play with a rabble that look like they're already on their holidays? In his interview after Trueman signed Powell more or less said he wouldn't feature for us unless it was an emergency. Better to take as long as possible with this injury and then comes for pre season training

Well put, I remember back in the Pearman days a bus full of FC fans came over to offer us support after we were deducted points, there aren’t many supporters of other clubs that would go out of their way to book a bus and spend n afternoon supporting an other club. And because of that I’ve always had respect for Hull FC fans.

Apart from the fact he's injured anyway.

It makes complete sense!
If the option to have him available at Play Off time was there we would have been fools not to take it.

Imagine if we lose Max Jowitt to injury and don’t get Gale or Lino back in time, how stupid would it have been not to take the option of Trueman being available.

Great forward thinking by the club even if we don’t need to use him till next season

Agreed. There is no negative to this.
