[quote="Brew"]The handing over of money is just like when Bradford raised half a million and handed it over. It went into a black hole and the club still went bust. People have short memories. Massive risk of the money donated either being misused or not being enough and just lost.
But to say other people who decide to donate have short memories is neither true or showing any respect to them, most if not everyone is very much aware of what happened to Bradford, their not stupid even if it turns out in the end to be a stupid thing to do.
As before these very same concerns are being expressed by multiple people across all of social media and everywhere else even with Bradford supporters speaking about it on our web sites.
Included in those who are aware of it not just on here are Mark Moore and those of the Trust who will be handing it over.
It's down to each individual to decided to donate or not and if they do then at the moment the best way seems to be to trust the Trust and through them.
As to the future if there is one, LK admits he's only in his role as a stop gap until a replacement comes forward and if the club could be saved the less debt remaining the more chance there could be of getting someone new in and the old out.

As a victim of the "buy a brick" for £250 in the Blue Sox SL era when we were skint (I'm still awaiting my engraved brick to be proudly displayed in the South Stand) I hope I can be forgiven to be very wary of "new" promises which follow on from "failed" promises.
The 2 separate statements do appear to have some contradictions.
For example, the 1st statement included: "we have a solid plan for next year that reflects our current circumstances." .... which I understand as saying we'll have to cut our cloth with a weaker playing squad.
But then we had this in the 2nd statement: "We have comprehensive plans in place to ensure Halifax Panthers remains sustainable and competitive. This includes developing partnerships with local businesses, growing our supporter base ...."
How can the club expect to be competitive AND grow the supporter base with a weaker squad? It all just doesn't add up.
And how are we getting to Toulouse next week? By a dinghy? Why the hell we have a French team in our League beggars belief anyway. But that's another point of discussion.
Spoke to a couple of fellow Fax fans who are "quite annoyed" with the BOD so will be interesting what the general take is like at tomorrow's match and if the BOD do have the undying support of the fans.
Who’s actually left of the original consortium Board because several have gone so any support I give now can’t be for them if there not hear.
Nor has it been to any previous or future ( in my dreams BoD ) it’s the club that’s been a big part of my life and not someone in a suit and no one in a suit is going to stop me supporting it as long as it’s here.
I don’t give diddly squat what anyone else thinks that amounts to.

Original BOD still left:

Resigned since Oct 2022:
Richard Durgan David Grayson Craig Wright
Stephen Lambert rejoined and left during the new regime. Lee Kenny joined last April.

Acknowledging it’s only an opinion but any deeper idea of the reputation or competence of those left because I never take notice of any of them to be honest and based on that poor perspective would prefer a completely new group in, if we survive that is.
The request for £200000 is at best disingenuous. There is no clarity on why the demand has become so sudden or the reason HMRC are playing hardball (I was told it was because they paid their debt but then immediately stopped paying…if true madness).
There is also no clarity on the total debt size and who owed to.
Anyone or any group who donate money to the club should get clarity on this.
As I said before when Posner bailed out the club, twice, he and Michael Steel gave detailed presentations on the income/expenditure and debts we need this now. (I assume Posner is not around to sort this for a third time!)

Marke Bannister was on the BOD of Eclipse until he resigned this year. Craig Uttley resigned from Stagefreight this year. Lee Kenny has several other directorships, don't recognise any of the companies.

Have the worst of them gone then or are the ones still here all of the same in terms of trustworthiness?
I wouldn’t be too upset about the “Buy a Brick” initiative can’t see mine anymore and the last time I did a seagull had dumped on it, maybe a omen of things to come.
Edit: Forget all that, someone was pulling Terry's leg.

This is rubbish news and I know you'll all be feeling pretty down about it. In my view you have to be slightly unhinged to enjoy another RL club (even your local rival) going through this. Best of luck to Fax and the fans.
