Oh and shouldn't that be a red card and 3 matches for Whitbread? SMH as the kids say.
Well current interpretation you would say 3 but I hope not. Ref says it’s a ricochet so I’m wondering why he got 10 in the first place.

Different outcome if HKR keep 13 on the pitch for 80mins IMO. I'd love to see a side-by-side comparison of the challenge that saw Vaughen get red and the HKR player only get yellow. No consistency leaves the game open for ridicule and accusations of bias and corruption.

Ricochet off the Hull KR defender means mitigation, different challenge to Vaughan, though 3 for Vaughan was harsh considering Makinson got 2.
I’m hoping the new season brings different refereeing strategy, if the ref misses it, it shouldn’t be picked up by the video ref, let the disciplinary committee pick it up. Its a real bad look for the game, you can see certain teams play up to it.

100% this. If they do that there is no reason for a player to stay down to get another play sent off.

It's getting out of hand now. This pantomime every week of watching the ref deliberate like flaming judge judy while we all stand and wait around for the inevitable controversy.

It's exactly a pantomime with the crowd booing and hissing until the villain gets his just desserts. Either that or like 1980s wrestling with the feigning of injury then making a Lazurus like return.
The RFL need to find a better way of providing defensive measures against imagined ambulance chasing lawyers in the future, or call it a day.
For starters a mandatory HIA when any card is brandished.

Whilst I might agree with your theory that a 13 a side game would have probably provided a different outcome the two yellows were justified IMO and the one where Burgess professionally slowed the PTB down may have resulted in a Wigan score.
The high shot yellow was also fair IMO because of the Rick O'Shea, the problem that we all seem to have is the subjective and retrospective nature of reviewing incidents both in game and via the MRP and the 'footballization' of players playing to to video ref and without the mandatory HIA for the 'victim'. Was this incident and outcome any worse than the Vaughan 'tackle'?
Quite a mess I hope that players coaches and the RFL get together to stamp this circus out next season
A lot of chat about how last night would have been a 'worthy grand final' and that these two will be meeting again at Old Trafford.
Maybe they will, but it should be good motivation for us. We have beaten both sides at their own ground, and Hull KR have failed to get past a semi more times than Pele.
