Would have added a bit of spice if a Leeds win could see the Codheads relegated, but IMG and the RFL’s licensing nonsense has ruined it as a spectacle. Considering staying at home and just watching on the telly.
Yep and this is one of the reasons why the game is struggling.
The fact that Leeds and Hull are rubbish is probably more to do with it being an unappealing fixture rather than the IMG grading. Fans love to complain about loop fixtures, fixture scheduling, and league structure, but none of this would matter if the quality on the field wasn't so slow and turgid most of the time. Just speed the game up and create optimal conditions for fast, open rugby. This is primarily down to the coaches, players, and refs
I think all those things are also part of the issue. Repeat fixtures water down the product, more often than not it reduces the excitement of the fixture and also takes away some of the crowd on the gates. Its a garbage concept that hasn't worked.
weather looking set fair for this evening and I do have a season ticket, not much enthusiasm for going sadly. Might just watch Wigan v HKR unless I have a sudden change of heart

That`s what I will be watching tonight. And agree these repeat fixtures certainly don`t do anything for the game. I would much rather see the number of teams in SL increased and maybe a top 8 playoff along with the bigger clubs joining the CC earlier than they do now.
