OK, so 10 years on, how much is the Shay estate now worth? Enough to build two new stadiums???
And yes really. The topography of Calderdale is difficult. You find me a plot of land which is flat, has good rail and road links (which would be required), where you could build one stadium, nevermind too. The Council looked back in 1995 and there is nowhere. The last hope was probably Lowfields, but thats pretty much full.
Barber is named in Huddersfield RUFC team for Saturday. I think he has more than likely been the first to leave Fax. I hope no more go before end of season if we make it that far.

Bear in mind that a supporters trust run club requires an awful lot of commitment from volunteers that know what they're doing and have time to commit. That's a very big ask.
On PH it's got a lot more famous since they started doing gigs. Stuart Maconie loves it and it gets a good mention in his new book.
Fax have the potential to be a decent force in SL, they just need a Ken Davy, like plenty of other clubs.
Any club has the potential to be a decent force on SL if someone pumps money into it. In fact the only way to be a decent force in SL is have someone pump money in
The council were asking for land to build a traveller's site. Fax go bust, kick out FC and the council have a lovely pice of land to give to people who don’t two s*%TS about this town. Mind you I feel the council don’t give two sh*#s about This town either.

Be interesting to see if and what squad we name this week.
I wonder what the six figure boost was going to be or if its just another inflated lie been fed to people. There is no way that shirt sponsorship even over 3 seasons is anywhere near to even half that amount. The board have fed people so much BS that it is now hard to believe anything that they say.
Gareth Dean has a lot to say on FB I don't know the ins and outs of his falling out but the picture he paints, again if true, does not paint any of the board in a good light. Shaun who posts on there a lot was also a huge advocate of the BOD but he was been fed information off somebody on the board, my guess was RD, that has also turned out to include a lot of lies, the cover up of the mess the club is in has run quite deep. I also see Mark Moore posting quite a bit trying to raise funds but if the club is allowed to go to the wall, which I think seems to be the best option at this stage, then he would be a decent shout to be involved with any new club.

Looks like the replacements away shirt sponsor Ticketpass has now been served a struck off 2 month dissolution notice starting from the 13th of August.

Yep, can't disagree with this. Other creditors in 2023 showed as £190k which isn't necessarily related to related parties. And there is no related parties note detailing loans from directors and/or shareholders so I'm assuming this £700k invested by directors/shareholders happened in 2024?
Also don't like this at all: "We reached out to HMRC for an extension and time to pay, something that has been granted to other clubs recently". So the taxman has one rule for one and a different rule for others?
When not having access to who said what to who and when it was said in the past I can’t honestly say what the truth is and will probably never know. But I can see, hear and read what’s being said now and that appeal from LK is riddled with contradictions from start to finish. The club had said that the response has been “phenomenal” and prior to that also said what the immediate crises was, namely the taxman and players wages covering the time period of this and next week.
All I can say is that by the end of next week they better have used these donations to get both of them payed and tell us they have done so.
