I know we are short of numbers in that area however I’d be considering bringing his season to an end today and just focus on coming back bigger and stronger for 2025.

Agree. The lad is only 18 shown lots of promise but shouldn't be playing every week. He's making mistakes but that's to be expected at his age and having to direct a p iss poor team and he certainly isn't being helped by some of his more experienced team mates. To his credit he doesn't go missing.

Giving him a ball was thinking out of the box and it worked a treat

Thanks. As you say it was handled really well and it was great the lad enjoyed it.

It smacks of a careless, lackadaisical, will-this-do attitude that would seem to be coursing through the club unchecked. The lack of accountability, from all those in positions of leadership, is merely another facet of this.

The 'cancer' that Shaun McRae alluded to, over twenty years ago now, would appear to be virulent, alive and still spreading through Hull Fc in 2024.

The cancer is Pearson, he doesn't give a love and neither does anyone else in any position underneath him

Don't think it would've made any difference, but did anyone else think Horne was lucky to only get a yellow, considering other cards dished out this season.

I thought the same. Was a bad swinging arm

well 4 of us in the pub afterwards with almost 200 years worth of season passes between us sat head in hands and we reminisced about bad times gone by and commented that even in the darkest times of the 60's mid 70's the Casey days and the Lloyd days we had players that at least had a go. They might not have had the strength brains or stamina but they had a go, but this lot have a bit of a go at times and literally toss it off at others. We aint great but we can play to a plan when we want to but this lot really, lets face it, don't care about the watching fans who pay their wages at all and they play when they want to and can't be ar*ed when they feel that way. . We decided that's why a lot of the fans can't be arsed now either. I wonder if we'll ever get back to anything like 2016 because I think it will take longer to rise than it has to fall. Plus will we ever get the hoards who are walking, back. Yeh, we have injuries players playing out of position and carrying injuries, but all that taken into consideration today was appalling and quite frankly we deserve better. .

bonaire wrote:Its what i keep saying Seb if the clubs strategy is bringing in experienced players on longer contracts expecting that in 2/3 years we are suddenly going to have five or six of the younger players playing regular first team football is pie inthe sky and doomed to fail as it just wont happen.
The only two i can see who will make it and probably get better as they add a bit more weight are Barron and Martin.
The longer contracts for such average players will also hold back the club in what it can do in the recruitment market for 2026 when that really should have been the year the club showed some real intent in the recruitment market given Cartwright will have had a full season at the club to assess whats really needed
Thats now not going to happen unless we once again start offloading and paying off non performing players which i expect will happen because if he is the coach we need then it wont take him long to assess some of the dross Myler has brought in.
This club could sign Alan Carr as a ball handling halfback and some of the apologists of the club on here would find a positive even if it was just to keep the players on their toes in the dressing room

There are no 'apologists of the club'. Most people are rational in their views. You are the outlier.

Cas are a poor team but they are 9 points above you. Not sure what you are trying to say.

Think it puts into context how bad Hull are, that Cas are 19 points better away from home. That was two championship teams out there today. No offence to Championship sides.
