Let's be honest here. We were 5H1TE. Absolute 5H1TE. Umpteen knock ons, a lot on the first tackle. Should we appear in the Elimination games, we'll get hammered with ball retention like that. King should be under house arrest, next Saturday afternoon. No way he deserves a jersey for that "performance". The same for Drinkwater's (what can be laughingly called) kicking game. Douglas Bader could've done better.
But let's look at the game as a whole. There was NO WAY we were going to be allowed to win that. The softest red card I've seen in years, but there's no way the disciplinary "committee" will go against a VR decision, on Monday night. After all, they're NEVER wrong (apart from Saints players getting deductions AGAIN ) Vaughan.will be getting a ban, such is the way the game is going Leigh were offside ALL game, but didn't get penalised until the last quarter of the game for it.

How can Leigh fans get uppity about tackling techniques with who they have in their side? Beggars belief....but hey, let them have their day in the sun before they get relegated again in a couple of years when their team of cast offs all retire.
I am rapidly falling out of love with Super League, it has so few redeeming qualities, especially now the football play acting has crept in. An amateur sport administered and adjudicated by clueless buffoons

Leigh were allowed to play a 7 yard line ALL night. The refereeing performance was one of the worst I can remember. But I'm not surprised. Wigan must finish in the top 2.

Least penalised team in the league suggests different.
Leigh are the 4th most penalised team in the league by the way. Also have the most yellow cards.
At the risk of making this thread about rugby, we’ll take a bit from that. Things won’t always go our way, and we’ll have to work out a way to cope. We gave up the first 6 points, and turned over so much ball that a good team would have put 40 on us, and Leigh should have done and they will be equally disappointed with their execution.
The bigger and most immediate issue is that the Charnley and Halton tries come from us getting our goal line defence wrong. The Halton one, Wray tries to move Fitzgibbon out from marker/A defender and he just doesn’t move, and Wray ends up late into position, 1 on 1 on the line. I’m not saying Fitzgibbon stops the try, but there’s a communication breakdown. The Charnley one, Walker is a late retreat on the line and doesn’t get to the short side quick enough for the right edge to be able to adjust. Could be fatigue for Walker, but I’d be expecting Wray to plug that gap and get the numbers right and/or getting Walker to position with a bit more urgency.
No criticism of Wray, numbers are short by default when down to 12, but something to work on over the next few weeks.

I haven’t seen a replay but when Ashton was tackled into touch late on was Matt Davis late into the tackle? My initial reaction was he was but would like to see again.
Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.
A red card which was never a red card, the continued over examination by the video ref, it was like they were hopeful of finding a reason to send off Vaughan. The sky commentary was the exact same, Jon Wells was delighted when the Vr made the decision..it was the most laughable card I’ve seen..
Leigh looked clueless in attack against 12 men, their line speed in defence was debatable, all night. It was a given Charnley was getting a try against Wire..
Overall it’s not that bad of night for Wire. Showed brilliant mental toughness in restricted Leigh to only 16 and scoring two conversions, the first kick by Thewils was delightful from the touch line..
As for duckies agenda against Vaughan, last night was no fault of Vaughan’s, so unsure why the Duck is fuming..
