That so called eyesore brought in much needed revenue over the years.

It would be nice when we get to a point where we are busting capacity so often that serious consideration needs to be made to replacing them, but until then there is no point going to the expense of the development of a stand that is only going to decrease our utilisation score for the short term. A simple terrace along the bottom would do for now, and I'm sure I read that is in the pipeline.

I’m told Ellis is bringing the seats back from last year. The logic being that the refurbishment of the Fox bar and the old clubhouse will make them viable.

JM wanted to keep them but MC was against it. He had a point as he wanted to fill the new East stand, and at the time that looked difficult even if we had stayed up.

I think that if we hit SL next year we will probably be at 80% capacity on the east stand for most games. Meaning that you could easily allow 500 extra seat in front of the boxes without affecting the east stand.

Would look better, give people a choice, add some modest capacity and all for very little outlay, win win. Also a four sided ground always pleases people.

I don’t even think it is an eyesore, not when full. It just looked a bit tatty, especially at the base.

Not my description, when the bar was open without having to pay to get in the view from the balcony was excellent.

I know I was agreeing with you. The views are outstanding and the facilities are more than adequate imo.

I also think that with the new stand and the hopeful upgrade of the old clubhouse it will look quite integrated, especially if they follow the dark grey scheme.

This would mean that by next season only the west terrace will be bellow standard. Not bad considering where we were only a few years ago.

Before the flats were constructed the only hospitality we had was over the road at the Stoneleigh Hotel. They were a massive upgrade for us at the time and have been a money maker ever since.

I and a few hundred fans sat on those, seats, for almost 2 seasons when work started on demolition and rebuilding of East Stand, not a bad experience until it rains, sitting on wet seats and getting drenched is not fun, and I wouldn’t do it again,

In principle the temp seats were good, but they will only be overflow from main stand.
I can't see anyone choosing them first.

I was going to say it would be better to have basic standing terracing instead of seating there.

Wasn’t their initial some plans to link it to the first floor of the flats?

You could add 500 or so standing and access into the bar area for refreshments.

That extra 500 or so would be full come the matches against Leeds, Cas and maybe the odd other.
