This is a fantastic pick up by Myler!! Great piece of business! Robust, leader, Hardworker, everything weve needed this year, top class NRL level Fullback/Winger and as others have said he will do wonders for Moy, Martin,Barron and their progression, I'm really happy with this one.
PS for all negative lazy comebacks about his age... SO WHAT??? In todays modern game it means very little as the top top players (Like Rapana) are better conditioned and therefore more robust than most of the younger players we have... You only have to look east of the river to see age means very little...
Hall - 36 Hiku - 31 Parcell - 31 Evalds - 31 Hadley - 32 Sue - 32
All wrong side of 30 but still performing at a quality level week in week out, the list extends to other teams too who are at the top end of the table and have players that are some of their best performers each week and in their mid 30's so regardless of what you think around the players playing ability, attitude etc etc, can we stop even using age at all in any argument about who we have signed as it means next to nothing.

He is Ok, think he is replaceable, Ashworth is about on par if he is fit and he was a reserve layer at Hudds last year, probably the easiest position to recruit for in SL. Someone like English (might have to pay a fee) would be a good replacement.

He’ll play centre or more likely fullback I doubt he’s here to play wing. He’s still a top player this would have been a great signing if we’d have brought in a bit more quality elsewhere.
Still a lot to moan about IMO but this isn’t it, fans in general have constantly whinged about culture and character and all that, he’ll improve all that and actually has quality.
A 35 year old winger when we are crying out for a quality centre, second row or prop. We will definitely have the slowest back line in super league now. If we don’t sign a centre and go with hardaker and chamberlain then it’s a shocking decision.

So with the Rapana signing are we still gonna finish bottom next year or are people feeling a bit more optimistic? For me the squad has massively improved and will be way more more competitive next year. Quietly optimistic now
These are comments by the Raiders fans and there's plenty more -
He literally is a game changer, he brings leadership and a winning attitude to our side when everyone is playing checkers Rapana is playing chess. Sign for 2 years if fit.
One year with an option of extension for a second year...he is a very worthy player and we need some senior players to support and mentor our young players..
shouldn't even be questioned. The Raiders should just give the contract to him with the years blank. He has been the top 3 Raider over the last 10 years, and still has it.
My favourite of the last decade. We should have given him another year or 2. Good luck JR.
Oh no! Rapa was the only player that could be relied upon to give 110% each and every game . Raider’s loss will certainly be Hull’s gain.
Noooo wanted Jordan to go around one more year with the Raiders. Thoughts are he had so much to offer to the young players.
He will absolutely kill it over there. An awesome player
Devastating, his leadership in the backs cannot be underestimated, who is going to take that role on!
