None. Drinkwaters kicking was the same at Wigan. Every kick went to the wingers or fullback, Not once did we turn them around. I think our overall performance and Wigan being poor made it inconsequential in that game.
If Drinkwater is the best out a bad bunch, to take the field position kicks, more time on the training pitch is needed. He has no positional awareness of attempting to split the field. It’s all the same on every set, every game. If Burgess is overlooking this, then it shows a little coaching inexperience on his behalf. That said, if the pack aren’t making meters, Drinkwaters kicks look even poorer.
On the other hand, Williams short kicking game is decent, but looks a little rushed at times..
I think Harry Smith’s kicking game compared to Drinkwaters/Williams and Lewis/May will be the difference in the big games.

No noticeable improvement in our kicking game since my original post 4 games ago. We were still kicking too long or too low against Cas, especially first half allowing them to run back at us initially unchallenged. By contrast their quite average halves (including one on debut) regularly put CTW and Thewlis under substantial pressure. This will cost us bigtime again if not resolved.
