It was only ever meant to be a temporary structure, so nothing like a lift would have ever been considered appropriate.

It's also a very old structure now, so will obviously need some titivating.

In respect of the screen, IMG apparently changed the spec between April 23 and March 24.

The hired temporary screens at Bulls and Cas don't meet the old spec, never mind the new spec.

Dewsbury built their stand 30 odd years ago and that had a lift for disability purposes even back then.
With all the fixes and rebuilding that’s been done since ME took over it really does look like the stand was a cheap botch job in many aspects.
While I’m at it, why on earth would you buy and fit a big screen that doesn’t meet SL, SKY & Img specification which now needs replacing after just 1 year.

It's not the main stand. That has always had a lift in it.

Oh wow! I've just realised he was on about our new stand, not the flats!

Can’t say for sure.. but I think the original one was big enough . But seemed have few glitches with it .
But IMG have changed the dimensions wanting bigger screens…
Either way it needed replacing because of the iffy picture.

IMG have changed the stadium criteria to benefit those clubs that own their ground. They allow the value of the ground to be part of the financial section of the submission.

So I guess that helps us significantly? Especially with the new development adding some serious value.

Would that put the likes of Salford at a disadvantage too?

As for our Big screen, the one we originally bought was the correct size under the grading criteria that was brought out in June 2023, but it's just been updated. Not that it matters that much because we've had problems with ours from day one just about and it appears it was a bit of a cheap one. The new criteria that were updated in March 2024 for the big screen are below -
