Squad announced. So we've gone from having 3 hookers to just 1. Having said that, Johnson has been really disappointing the last few games but I suppose it doesn't help being played out of position. Would go for Joufrett coming off the bench as 2nd hooker, it worked well before, with Widdop and Keyes in the halves.
Looking at the remaining fixtures for Fax and our relegation rivals ..... Dewsbury and Haven look nailed on for the bottom 2, with Donny being the dark horses to get 3rd from bottom as they've got the toughest run in - our game on week on Sunday is a right 4 pointer. "Tony's Table" predicts the following finish (assuming we lose that game at Donny):
Donny - 21 Barrow - 21 Fax - 20 Swinton - 18
.... which shows what a killer it was losing at Swinton (we could be far more comfortable) but could make up for it winning at Donny.
Yeah total waste of time playing Johnson at Loose and Inman was really poor against Swinton especially switching off for their second try. Losing Crooks to injury is a big loss and he might have played his last game for us. With Campbell and Morgan token picks for the squad that gives us our 18 to pick from.

Result just as predicted and to Trin on winning the Shield.
There was only about a 10 minute spell in the second half we’re we competed at all, the rest was just one way traffic and with the game already gone maybe better not going for 3 or 4 short kick offs and conceding on everyone to try and keep the points difference down which could be crucial in the final league positions.

And coach must have picked mom or it was based on who missed most tackles, gave away most penalties.
The new lad from Doncaster runs half his weight. But not helped by our coaching. I could see he was gassed, giving penalties away, dropping off tackles, but coach waits till that leads to a try conceded before substitution, and did the same with Fairbank.
Thought we did okay to be fair. Trinity were just far more clinical but thats what you should get when you spend as much money as they have. I reckon we will just have to get one more win besides the Dewsbury one and at the very worst that would have us in the play off. It would be nice to pick up a shock win against Donny or Bradford though to avoid everything been on the Haven game.

Not sure I agree there, greg. It got to the stage at the end when Wakey just needed to do basic passing along the line to break us, it was painful to watch, and they looked like scoring on every set. Are we really that bad? I think we are tbh. Worst season since 2004, I'm not enjoying going at all, I wanted to go to the pub after half an hour!

Yeah I would agree after about a quarter of the second half but I think we all expected that but up to that point I thought we performed better than we did at Swinton, not that hard to be fair I know.
Im not sure I remember 2004 been this bad as with the signing of Ben Black at least we had the odd glimpse of magic in games but this season there is very little to get excited about.
