Gutsy display. Thought Lane did well today. Never a hooker but boy did he put himself about. Our 2 young wingers look good to. Heads never dropped today and the lads kept going.

Thought our pack did well amd really stood up to a very strong Wigan pack.

Key thing for me, is the 1,6, 7, 9 and 13 will all be different next year.

Think having Briscoe around the club will be huge for their development. Much more so than if McIntosh was still here. I don't think it would be too farfetched a suggestion to say Barron's looks a much more confident player thanks to the help Briscoe is now giving them both.
Agree that ideally Briscoe needs be back up next year and be more influencial off the field than on it.

Pleased to see Harvey Barron start getting some plaudits on here
Came in early and made some errors which knocked his confidence but with him and Martin we will at least have two decent fast wings for the future amid all the gloom around the club.
Put two quality centres with these lads and we would have a backline to be feared.
Sorry but Hardacker and Chamberlain at centre just dont cut it.
Smith worked really hard today but his kicking from hand is terrible.
If we can find a running halfback maybe the boot of Abdul will get us better field position and end of set options which we need.
Feel we need to move Tuimavave to six next week and Smith back to nine with Balmforth and bring in another young back rather than Lane to centre which unfortunately is what Grix will likely do

Fash is never a front line forward,he's so ineffective at breaking through the line due to his size(or lack of it). Why on earth he thinks he's an hard case now who just manages to get penalised or sin binned god only knows. Don't know what he offers to the team.

Whilst not a brilliant performance against a clunky Wigan one it was a much improved one. Had we played like that against London it could have been so different. The gods still ain’t on our side with Cartwright failing a HIA and Chamberlain picking up an injury.

Think we have 2 very good young wingers in Barron & Martin. Be nice if we can get a bit of quality in centres as think they’d score quite a few especially if we can get a quality running half in.

Today just shows that no matter how much effort you put in without any real quality you’ll come up short.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Add regular biased performances from most of the officials and a real lack of guile and I just don't know where the points are coming from. When we have a game we should be targeting to win we're utterly terrible and then play with some grit and determination against teams that are just better than us.

This why the blame game people are often unfair in having a go at strength and conditioning and physio. It’s a tough physical came and one team has to suffer more than another.. it maybe that we won’t get another win. Rest of season is trying for 2025. Not bad today but no guile, as you say. Thought Smith did ok.

It may take a run of injuries like this next season for Fash to get anywhere near the 1st team.id sooner promote a youngster and bin him off…he’d go well at West Hull,

It was a poor quality game. Wigan were pretty average but still dominated us.

Shame about cartwright
