And of course some questions would be 'no comment' or batted away but we'd get a chance to raise our concerns.

A fans forum would be good.

I do believe Myler ‘gets it’, though. Time will tell.

For me a fans forum is very much long over due and needed so fans can sit down with club officials and have the equivalent of a 1 to 1 question and answer session. That would be a great start to engagement secondly as part of the general apathy and malaise in the club and also the all important fan base I think discussions and implementation of a new and refreshed supporters group is needed. As Pete mentioned there seems very little going on in the fans base too which needs rectifying so its a genuine active body for the fans as well as acting as a conduit to the Club.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I agree, but it needs to be at the end of this season. It needs to be a line in the sand moment, and not tar any of the new employees - players & staff - with what has happened this year.

Great ideas but it takes a special person to set up any organisation especially a sports club fan based one. That’s why we don’t have one now. Younger generations just have this attitude of “who cares, let someone else do it “ The older generation have been there and done it and bought the T shirt and probably retired  Ask Wilf.
I spent my working life in the major construction industry, spent a lot of time as a shop stupid, try get one now.

Yep. There’s literally only one way out of this for the club and that’s to field a decent side. Engagement is absolutely pointless until that happens. I worry they just don’t have the money to enable this.

I think if you did a fans forum as preseason starts fronted by Myler and Cartwright it would have a different vibe.

While it's not exactly making me head to the bookmakers to get in us being top6 a good coach can make all the difference.

Good example is 2012, following an awful 2011 and lack of investment from Kath. Gentle was handed a very mixed bag of a squad with journeymen like Tony Martin and McGoldrick but it was actually one of our best seasons in the SL era and I think our best home record ever at the MKM. And that was delivered simply by improved fitness, defense and tactics.

not sure about the money otherwise Myler would not be in the job but i doubt its substantial given Pearsons loans have to be repaid before he leaves the club.
My concern with this club now is lack of ambition with a rookie promoted to the important DOR position because of his family connections
The club has not been pro active enough in the recruitment market and what has been brought in Asiata apart is lazy recruitment.and just adding fillers rather than quality players for the postitions we need.
This idea that in two /three years we will be fielding a competitive team full of home grown young players as regulars is a pipe dream and reminds me when the idea was to field a team of Hull born players.
The club has dug itself into such a deep hole and alienated a lot of its fan base so without a real strategy that doesnt rely on a large bunch of younger players coming good i can see next season also been written off after the first few games.
Personally think they have to go poop or bust.
Use the quota of Tuimavave to give us three quota spots and get the running half and quality centre we need.
We also could do with another big mobile forward whether used in the front row or second row.
If the signings are deemed to be exciting and quality that does two things
1) helps the club sell passes because if the club loses 2/3 thousand pass holders thats an aweful lot of money to lose
2) Means we can feed into a competitive team with some quality players around a young player occassionaly as it should be done
Will it happen?i dont think so as we seem to be now relying on Cartwright to come good and save the clubs skin by identifying and bringing the required players with him.
You can imagine Myler ringing a player or agent in Australia
Hi this is Ritchie Myler from Hull FC Who?
Better to let Gaz Ellis ring first
Hi its Gaz Ellis from Hull FC Hi Gaz hows it going mate
