Fash has been rubbish, injured or banned all season. Shocking on field discipline too, particularly for our vice captain. Offers nothing for me

Props will likely be
Ese Ese
Ashworth
Aydin
Sao

Will be between those 4 IMO and there's even chance we could sign another prop yet

Think his best chance of playing will come at 13 if Asiata gets injured but even then there's others that could be better suited to cover... Abdul, Cartwright, Holmes etc

Jesus, will people stop touting abdul for 13. He hasn't got the fitness, workrate or physicality to play 13. It's not the 1980s any more

I always give him the benefit of the doubt as he was solid without being spectacular didn’t really make mistakes etc. But agreed he’s been absolutely awful this year.

With the new quote thing coming into play, maybe Satae? Catalan owner seems to be getting rid of everyone. He wouldn't couldnt as a quota spot anymore...

Wonder if we'll try and make a play for Jackson Hastings, seems out of favour at the moment. Don't know how realistic it would be. Haven't heard anything but might be an option Myler is exploring.

I'd definitely make an offer, massively out of favour at Bewcastle will be a good salary for another year, so think they would release him, he has one year left of his contract, so if we made him a marquee player for the next 3 years, think he might come.

Exactly the kind of statement signing we need.

That doesn't start until 2026, we can't afford to be using a quota spot on another prop for next year.

He would be a great signing and would inject some positivity which we definitely need right now and would maybe persuade some to renew their pass.

If Newcastle are desperate to release him they may part pay his salary to get him off the cap.

In reality though I think we will sign Asi or someone of his profile not that he would necessarily be a bad signing.

I've not been impressed with Hastings in the Newcastle games I've seen.
If you're ripping it up at NRL level then you just don't fall out of favour.
His signature would not inspire me to renew my pass.

Yes I agree, would quite like Asi, but he he hardly the the marquee halfback that has been mentioned and feels like a step down from Lam, wouldn't exactly gets the floating fans to buy passes next year.
