I thought dear old Degsy had changed and matured a little since Leigh were last in SL but appears not. Not sure how anyone can contemplate any sort of legal bid when the RFL & SL clubs all ratified/agreed to the current status.
It just isn't going to happen no matter how much money Hughes has or not.

We have been poor this season of that there is no doubt however we have been poor for the last 4-5 years and declined each year which has culminated in to the situation we as a club are currently in. To claim this season is down to the club simply cutting costs because we have no threat of relegation is total bull manure as the club would risk an awful lot more by doing that. At least we haven't failed to pay any players eh Derek, perhaps he needs to lay off the grapes as they've obviously gone more than a little sour.

Sounds like he's not happy about the whole IMG side of things and spitting his dummy out and Hull/AP are an easy target due to the poor state we were in under Smith at the start of this season. Problem with the game is the owners/chairman have too much of a say when they are seemingly only looking at things with self interest, otherwise a 14 team league would have been sanctioned by now but too many of the main protagonists don't want to share the pot with another 2 teams.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I'd imagine that if the goal post where moved at such a late stage of the season, it would be Hull taking the legal action. Beaumont may be wealthy but it doesn't stop him being a petulant, uncouth w@nk3r. He must have spat his dummy so far over Asiata that he can't find it.

What makes you laugh is we are not even bottom so it's an irrelevant argument at the moment.

I dont think he is the only one unhappy with IMG.The lack of anything meaningful that has come from IMG is for me disturbing considering the money they have already been paid.
For me the final straw with IMG was removing automatic promotion and relegation.
Not interested in points for how long your grass is or an innovative feature like a bunch of street food bars instead of a stand for spectators.
Its totally unfair and in reality there is nothing for the Championship clubs to play for and whats the point of having a Championship play off?
We all know Wakefield have been given the nod that they are in S/L next season but what happens if say Toulouse beat them in a play off final?
Its all nonsense with no logical thinking behind it.
Can you imagine what would happen in football if they scrapped promotion and relegation

I wish Pearson would take a back seat and not talk to the media about recruitment, he has a history of over exaggerating and I don't believe what he says. No coincidence pass information (with a slight increase to monthly costs) have been sent out. Just leave it to Myler.

on reflection, degsy is clearly worried that leigh will have strong competition for a place in SL next season and beyond

Degsey isn't worried one bit, trust me. Don't be surprised when Leigh get awarded a Grade A licence in October.

bonaire has hit the nail right on the head with this post.
