Dreadful again, just when I thought at least it’s one game and they’ll be no long term affects Smith loses his head like that.
Top spot gone now I think and probably top 2, we need a total reset and try and win it from 3rd

Give Smith 8 matches and be done with it. No fan of Bentley but doesn’t matter who it is, no need to attack the head and definitely not in the current climate. Over to Farrimond to lead the team now for me. Big shoes to fill but the team needs an injection of something. The last month has been garbage in how we’ve managed player fatigue and workload.

Hardly big shoes to fill. Smith was being carried by French and his recent form wouldn’t get him in St Pats first team.

Asking him to lead the team at his current stage of development is a big ask regardless of Smith’s current and recent form. He’s done it for all the team’s he’s played for though so just chuck him in and see how he does. A bit of a maverick at 7 might help get us out of a very serious slump in form.
Peet takes a lot of the criticism for certain tactics and selections today.
It’s a tough period fatigue is a big part of it too but that should have been managed better.
Huge week ahead now. Form goes out of the window.
The substitutions were poor, for a team half gassed I find it inexcusable to flog lads who have played long minutes in recent games. Mago, Walters and Byrne should have played the bulk of the game. We signed a whole bunch of forwards because we knew we would be in this position but chose not to use them! The Smith incident is inexcusable, game gone no need to do it.
