Wouldn’t like to be whoever it was at Leigh that messed that contract up it’s most likely cost them a lot of money and possibly salary cap space for next year.
The 3 half’s we’ve missed out on are Lam, Sailor and Sullivan. Sullivan hasn’t had a definite resolution to his situation yet like the other two so maybe still outside shout. I really like the players we are targeting hopefully we stick at it and find someone in similar mould.

Not sue I'd class Sailor a half, think it would have been a mistake to sign him, think Saints have got it wrong too.
Well we got Cartwright senior and junior, Eseese, plus SL players in the know so i don’t think that’s so. We have already changed so we can’t be judged on our early season. Think our fans are a double edged sword enthusiastic and numerous but horrendously over critical. Was ok early season but we are doing much better on many fronts

Jed has only played 30 odd games in the NRL and John hasn’t been a head coach for 10 years. I can understand why people are critical to be honest. Our recruitment so far baring Asiata isn’t pulling up any trees.
The problem with the recruitment is the money has come in too late so the top SL players had already signed elsewhere so we were late to the party, I expect we'll be much more active in the domestic market next year. Aside from chucking transfer fees around were stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Yep that's why we need to use the quota spots wisely.
So far Asiita is a a top signings, not sure about Cartwright and Cust is a waste (IMO).

last two have to be top SL level signings.
I think Cartwright is solid and much better than anything else we have, Cust could be hot or cold, when he first came over he was favourite for MOS and going very well for Wigan but couldn't get that form back after injury. He's a good player but unsure where he'll fit in, I'd rather see Balmforth getting minutes off the bench. Unless Cust is down as our starting 9 with Balmforth or Borough off the bench
