Shame really, thought he always put in a good shift for us

It is no surprise really. Many more to follow I suspect, the fact that next season will be another one where the club are forced to rebuild or play the kids.
We, I am sure will be in the Championship, but what if we are not. Another season like this one?

It’s a really good point . If for some unknown reason and despite IMG telling us clearly that no matter what happened we would be relegated, we aren’t, yet again we have left it very late to recruit SL standard players and as you say are merrily losing decent squad members who would rather sign for an Elite 1 side or a Championship side up north than gamble that we will eventually sign them up. We would be in a Groundhog Day of a sub SL standard team and thin on numbers. The result would be as this year - what I think I can reasonably call a ‘challenging’ season. I’d rather we accept the most likely outcome Trinity up, us down and start planning for that by retaining players and recruiting.

Think we are in agreement BT in offering contracts based on Championship either p/t of full, at least for the bulk of the squad we would like to keep. I thought it was difficult to tell from Cake's long interview on YouTube, in response to the question whether players had been offered contracts, whether they had or had not.

Hughes you will remember said nothing when the IMG ratings came out unlike some northern owners who had hissy fits despite voting in favour of IMG's plan. Some weeks later he released his view & again despite making very valid arguments against the categories ie catchment, acadamy, time in SL etc, the narrative had moved on & little interest was shown. Given his reticence to vent his spleen against IMG in his half time chat on Sky at the weekend, does he know IMG plan changes, hope they do or is he completely deluded? Think I know which one most of us would plump for.

Certainly if we can finish anything other than last it puts pressure on IMG, but doubt we can afford another losing season which ever division we are in.

Turned out to be a nice bit of exposure & maybe a few more people now aware of the muddled thinking from IMG. Nothing new to add to the current narrative though.
