Was talk of much longer than 7 weeks out this morning. He was in a protective boot at Uni. Hopefully he'll get back on the pitch ASAP and have an injury free run at Wakefield.
Cam Scott jumping on twitter and calling the fan base toxic.....nice.
Rightly, some people have questioned Trueman's worthiness of a contract given these injuries and he's jumped in to defend his future Wakefield teammate (hopefully)

The problem being we had already signed him prior to his first injury. So it can hardly be called as anyone’s fault. He was a very promising prospect before that

Looking at the replies and quoted tweets, you can see his point

Well we announced his signing a few days after he got injured in what was ultimatley his final Cas appearance but yes I suppose we'd agreed a deal before the injury. However he only played eleven games in 2020 and eleven in 2021 with IIRC back issues so it was always a risky signing.
I have never understood the bashing of players for being injured. Do people think they go out to sustain serious injuries on purpose? Do they think he enjoyed spending the last two pre seasons at a new club coming back from 9 month lay offs, training on their own in the cold winter months? Just to get grief when they unfortunately sustain another knock.
By all means, question the players worth as a fan, but to directly attack a player is just plain weird.
The area which fans should be blaming is the clear neglect of the clubs back room staff by those in charge for years. It is no coincidence we have had several injury crisis’s in recent years.
As for Cam Scott, very lazy to accuse an entire fan base of been toxic.
The thing is I guess however loyal you are to have 18 players out at the same time for a number of reasons is either the worst luck we have had for decades or an indication that moral is low, they like us can't wait for the season to end or many are as frustrated as us (bans), just unlucky with injuries, not fit (Injured) or just fed up of losing. but whatever the reason these are dire times and with an inability to bring anyone else in the morale patience and indeed dispondency of the loyal in any kinda weather brigade is at an all time low.
Folks have over reacted on their concern on social media something I guess that is reflected in a much more serious and disgusting way on the national scene too, but that's what happens I guess these days with keyboard warriors and folks in their bedrooms tapping away on their keyboards with the curtains drawn and there is absolutely no excuse for it.
We all still love the club, but times are really tough for us all and and that is manifest in many different levels of frustration, but the fact remains that Folks have just had enough and many are now getting out of the habit of going to games, even if they have season tickets and I never thought I'd ever see that. However, they are just fed up and seasons next years will be a tough old sell for the club. No news on the investor, all gone quiet on the signings front and worries about Beaumont and Co trying to reverse the IMG stuff just out of petulance (in his case at least) Big signings and some real hope are needed to even start to save the situation. Take your boots on Sunday it will be a long afternoon. Its a good job we love 'em.
