It’s a really good point . If for some unknown reason and despite IMG telling us clearly that no matter what happened we would be relegated, we aren’t, yet again we have left it very late to recruit SL standard players and as you say are merrily losing decent squad members who would rather sign for an Elite 1 side or a Championship side up north than gamble that we will eventually sign them up. We would be in a Groundhog Day of a sub SL standard team and thin on numbers. The result would be as this year - what I think I can reasonably call a ‘challenging’ season. I’d rather we accept the most likely outcome Trinity up, us down and start planning for that by retaining players and recruiting.
