Can’t see field playing. Eckersley back to FB for this one. Smith has got to pass some of the workload and kicking onto to Hampshire or Farrimond. We’ve been playing with effectively one HB since the London game. I think Leyth will be really up for this and we may not have enough in the tank. Hope I’m wrong.

I think we will rotate some of the pack and we will be the fresher side. Leigh have a smaller squad and will find it tougher to back up than we will.

Does anyone know how the disciplinary works this week for us and Leigh ? Will any potential bans include Tuesday or would they only kick in next weekend ?
I think the only change Peet could make that may make a positive difference is to move Keighran to 6. That might not work either, at least not straight away.
Farrimond isn't ready yet and would be vulnerable against a good Leigh attack, not sure it's the game for Douglas as Miski was a little better last week and sadly all of our props bar Thompson and Havard are much of a muchness at the moment.
They'll attack the right edge all night long - we can be sure of that.

They’ll only apply to the weekends games

Tom Amone not named for Leigh by the looks of things. That case has been so strange. I know Leigh are never a club to tow the line but being forced to stand a player down after a head knock, when your intention was to play them, is pretty staggering in the modern game.
Amone is a big loss for Leigh, think he’s the best prop in the league.
Leigh will be going all out for a win tomorrow, big away following, pushing for the playoffs and wanting to get the Wigan hoodoo off their back.
They played well last time out at the DW.
This could be a cracker. Leigh getting 8 start on the handicap feels like too much given our form.

Yeah, I'd say Amone is comfortably clear as the best prop in the league. They've got some work to do next year to replace the likes of him, Asiata, O'Donnell and Lam (if he goes). I saw something recently that said Leigh aren't guaranteed of a spot in Superleague next year and you do have to wonder if that's making Beaumont hold back on replacements for now.
In the short term, they'll be massively up for tomorrow and we need to match that. We did last time but we look to have lost some confidence since that last meeting, as well as French and O'Neill, so it won't be easy. I'm also surprised with that 8 points and would've thought they'd go with only 2-4 points.
We need a strong start and score first for a change to then lay a platform for the rest of the game. Over the last four games we have failed to put the first score on the board.
