In this context I can understand why he left Charles out. In a game where it was clear we would struggle to make metres and be under the pump for much of the game Charles would be onto a hiding to nothing so I don't think taking an 18-yr old out of the firing line for today was a bad call.
I get that but he played in a high intensity game in Catalan last week and was outstanding v Wigan…2 games which I’d have said he was on a even bigger hiding to nothing
Grix made the correct call regards to Charles, Wigan, Catalans then Saints all one after another, they're all physical teams are we're running with about 75% of our pack in the stands, missing a week or 2 every now and again will be better for him long term.

Its been obvious for ages Decent defence but his lack of pace is finding him out Need to move him on if we can

It makes you wonder just how many of the younger players we have coming through will actually make S/L players when you see this lad and compare him to say Gardiner who in my opinion is Championship quality if that. The same with Robertson who looks streets ahead of Moy. We may have four or five worth working with for a couple of seasons but would be very surprised to see more than two make regular quality S/L players

All we can do is work with them and see if they progress….the biggest hopes are injured…Staveley looked the part,Dawson got a acl and if for that,he would have debuted..is the other one Wainhouse?….Robertson maybe streets ahead but will he stay the pace and Moy may overtake him….we don’t know but our youth set up is a lot better than before and ok,injuries are forcing us to play them but they are getting a chance unlike under Radford…we lost a raft

. Physically Charles isn’t ready yet to play week in week out.

Moy woukd have looked better playing behind saints pack. Saints were so dominant that Robertson had time and space Whereas moy didn’t. I wouldn’t write off any of the young kids yet. Let’s see how they go next season with bigger and better players around them and better conditioning.
