If we put a decent team on the park whoever start winning games regularly people will come back
I notice you never post when rovers are playing and you're a Johnny come lately who admits to not attending our games. My guess is you're a dobbin making a poor attempt at pretending you're not
The doom and gloom on here is unreal. For me, rather stupidly I don't care when we play at home, as a supporter I do my damnedest to get there. Why do we have to be the whiniest set of fans? I completely agree with Jake's comment. Either go and support the club or don't but don't come on here and whinge with a million reasons why you don't go. I'm sure if the onfield product was good people wouldn't care when we play and those reasons why they don't go would disappear. It's easier to make excuses not to go when we are as poor as we are. I suppose that's the difference between supporters and fans.

The definition of a supporter is one who supports their team financially, the definition of a fan which is short for fanatic is one who actually goes to games whatever it takes. Some who come on the board whingeing and whining do neither so should not be classed as either. Put up or shut up is my response.

I'm not convinced it's as easy as that anymore. You're right in that, ultimately, a winning team is the best selling point any club could have, but we have been so average/poor for so long now that I think a sizable portion of ex-attendees would need more than a few wins to tempt them back.
It's now essentially seven years since we were last a decent proposition, seven years in which we have continued to go backwards year on year. That is a lot of downhill travel to turn around. For those people who, for whatever reason, are now choosing not to attend in person, I reckon it will take a period of sustained success to bring them back and that will not be easy given our current position.
The worst part is that we have dug this hole for ourselves, all of our own doing, without any help from outside sources. From a position of some strength to being a club merely making up the numbers. It will take an awful lot of hard graft to convince some people that we are once more a serious contender, and not just another brief flash in the pan.
I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.

My opinion is, you have to regularly put money into the club to be a supporter, I know some struggle to afford passes, but the club often do great ticket deals and buying merchandise at Christmas etc helps.
Anyone who doesn't can call them self a supporter, but they (IMO) font have the right to critise the club if they don't contribute and help.

Fully agree, I hand over my cash to the club so entitled to my opinion whether good or bad
