with out question a must win game. lose and its no play offs realistically and we are also in danger of leigh over taking us for another 8th place finish.
Honestly I think we've already shot out bolt in missing out on the top 6 for this year, but hope springs eternal and if we can on a roll anything is still possible.
We don't really deserve top 6 yet, if we do make it we're going to have to play like a towards-the-top team for a couple of months.

Totally agree that Smith and to some extent Walker both picked under performing players and the likes of TNW and Littlewood didn`t get a look in. Seems Arthur has decided Ruan needs game time something he could get with us but has been shipped out to Hull on loan. If we lose on Saturday I do hope we let some of our younger lads get a game or two as now is the time to see what they are made of.
I reckon if we lose against Salford that's the main aim for the rest of the year - giving some of the younger forwards a genuine chance. I don't see much point in continuing to pick the likes of Donaldson ahead of TNW, Ruan, Littlewood, Hudson etc.
It seems to be a perennial problem that when things are going pear shaped coaches tend to revert to the same players who have failed over and over again. Call it "the Liam Sutcliffe problem." You couldn't really blame some of the younger players from thinking about looking elsewhere.
As an example, Jack Sinfield didn't get a chance when Frawley was playing garbage. Now Frawley's looking OK it would be a surprise if he gets another start this year unless Frawley gets injured. Sinfield's almost 20, and if I were him I'd be wanting some serious reassurance about getting a proper shot at first team next season. Harry Smith got his chance to play regularly at 20, Dodd a year younger. I know there are questions about his defence, but at some stage everyone needs to know if he's ever going to make the grade, and that will not happen if he plays 5 games a year.

Think he and Leeds are going to have to bite the bullet and send him out on loan to the Championship next year. Truth be told he's not siezed his limited opportunities in the way that Smith or Dodd (playing behind superior packs) managed to do. We need to know definitively by the end of next year, when Frawley's contract is up. Sentiment can't come into it.

While I agree a loan would be of benefit, I reckon we’d need to sign another half for it to happen. At the minute Jack is only ever one injury away from playing.

Yep, it's tricky. Maybe a short term loan would be the way to go. Just don’t think he going to develop playing every other week in the reserves- which is essentially an under 21 comp.

According to Lancashire Red on the travel thread, "Tickets for Away Fans (North Stand) and Away Seating (W01) will be available from the Salford ticket office on match day."
