Thought the ref had a decent game actually. Handled this little bit of handbags well and as others have said just gave the try rather than relying on the screen, which ruins the excitement. His hand was forced on the Marshall incident, which is an act of gamesmanship more than foul play, but that’s the rule. Hopefully common sense will prevail and no cause for action by the disciplinary panel.
With London on the horizon, I’d be looking at resting Dufty. With respect to London, that is the week where we can best risk resting him. Similarly with Williams, you get the feel that we need those two on all cylinders come the play offs, so we need to work out a way to get some energy in the tank. But with Thewlis, Ashton, King, Fitzgibbon all having a few weeks rest, Harrison having a week of without damaging the results is a win, and Philbin’s return on the horizon, the bulk of the team will be as ready as they can be approaching the back end.
Wire Life is good at the moment and I’m making the most of it. But at the same time it feels like the last night of a great holiday. I know Burgess is going next year and I know we have to go back to reality. Will enjoy it while it lasts though! Praying for our first SL trophy.

I saw when he took the bang to the head as he was holding it still about 5 mins after it happened so clearly took a hard knock.
On other notes i hope Bateman doesn't just stroll in to the team, he needs to earn it first.
Also do you think Darl Clark is thinking S#!t what have i done?
If we can get the win next week, which we easily have the squad to do so, i think like said previously resting some for London does make sense. Especially with Fitzgibbon, Bateman, possibly King and Harrison back. I would 100% like Holroyd to get a rest as he puts so much effort and energy in to each game, save him burning out.

I think Daz probably left us at the right time for him and Warrington. Still a fine player but not what he was a couple of years ago. The change seems to have done him good, he's consistently one of Saints better players but admittedly that's a pretty low bar.

I was at the game and oddly it looked to me that another of our players whacked him in the head celebrating that knock on. He seemed to struggle from then on but waved away the trainer.
Don't want to bring any negative spin on what has been two excellent consecutive performances, as that is what I want to be replicated in late September and early October. I hope that we haven't peaked at the wrong time!
