I can’t believe Beaumont’s not come out swinging yet. Either they’ve been advised they don’t have a leg to stand on or the opposite and their lawyers have told him to keep quiet not to influence any potential action. Why would they agree to a clause in his contract that allows him to join another SL club? Bizarre situation.
more like the cookie situation where the issue was between club and player. cooke served a ban period where he couldn't play for breach of contract if memory serves me right. Hull can't sign him if he has a contract with leigh

Beaumont has gone quiet since his team have all wanted out, hes realised the one season wonder really was a one season wonder and he dare not stump up the fees again for his players who can get better elsewhere

You do realise the only player Leigh offered a deal to was Asiata, all the rest were told they were free agents, the fact Hull is a basket case and The magic Money Man Myler is chucking mental long deals at 34/35 year old injury prone players is just further proof of the desperation. Leigh are replacing those players with players in their early twenties.

You call us a basket case, but we are much better position for long term success as we have a youth system and that's why you need yo sign younger players as you don't produce your own players.
Which 34/35 year old players have we signed or even offered long term deals too.
You need to do a but more research before posting.

They were that free to leave that Degsy wouldn't let Holmes comment on his move to Hull.
It'll be interesting to see how Leigh recruit going into next season. Their isn't an abundance on fed trained players and they are losing a fair chunk with no academy to fall back on

This is an odd take to be honest. We have lost 3 key players, one to Hull and two to NRL. But there was always going to be a rebuild required at some point.
As for the other Leigh players moving East, my understanding is that Hardaker was offered one year, while offers weren’t made to either Holmes or Chamberlain. Personally, I’d have liked us to keep Holmes another year, but we’ve just not been able to get him on the pitch enough this year. And I thought it would be hardaker or chamberlain that you’d want to sign, rather than both.

Not sure why Holmes wasn’t allowed to comment, yet Hardaker was? Could be some mischievous reporting there.
Fair point about the lack of academy. Leigh will have this challenge every year until the new academy starts to produce
