Yes of course forgot about that, getting Lam for 100k cap would be amazing, we will also have to compete with more attractive clubs, so say Catlanas offer 200k, we need to offer 250k.

I'd say the second option is most likely. But wouldn't completely rule out the first.
So he’s effectively committed to a bumper contract extension for one year with the option of a second year entirely in the players favour? They’ve then used that so Hull make him a big offer then Catalans match it and he gets a big pay rise again no risk? Fair play his agent.

To be honest, I've no idea. All I've read is that the club are adament that the clause is only valid for NRL clubs, as used by Kai O'Donnell, and that it may go to an independant tribunal. But that is from the reports from Dan Tomlinson and Aaron Bower. Not seen any actual quotes on the matter from Leigh. Both Lams were pretty guarded about it when asked about it in their post match interviews.
