The RFL aren’t going to ban any Wakefield players with the number of injuries they’ve got. They’ve handed them promotion they won’t want the embarrassment of them being gifted that if they don’t win the league. So they’ll make sure it happens.

Still on here obsessed with us and they? Tinpot club who’ll go back to stinking out Superleague next season.

Come on one fish at a time please. Handed us promotion. More like Matt Ellis plan and investment will gain us promotion utilising on and off the field criteria.

It might be me, perhaps I'm trying to cling on to what attracted me to the sport all those years ago. Players running at each other with 100% commitment and never taking a backwards step.

We seem to be fast heading down a slippery slope where players are staying down to influence a call from the officials. I thought the red card in the Saints v Wire was a bit soft, to me it was a high speed reactionary attempt at a tackle. He hasn't swung to try and hurt anyone - do we not need some common sense applied?

Going back to last Sunday, I can't recall a game where I've seen as much appealing for penalties - from both sides but Gale in particular was painful. If I wanted to watch that, I'd be following football.

Thought Barrow were the worst for appealing to the ref.

Yes, but that’s Barrows only plan to try and win a game.
Wakey have several options - A - overwhelm the opposition in the forwards, B, burn them for speed down the edges. If those aren’t working then they move to (C) Gale refereeing the game for them and finally- D - rely on the fact they’re Full Time.

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.

Yep another good example. Perhaps it is something that needs looking at. I guess it is human nature for a referee to react to the pressure applied. I appreciate all teams do it to an extent but it definitely seems to be an increasing problem.

It's on the referees to sort it.

If they don't blow up, players will stop doing it. Griffiths obviously got in that mood of lowering the bar to blow up for a penalty half way through the second half. Gale used his experience (that "late tackle" was embarrassing for all concerned!) but Gale got the penalty and another two points. So why wouldn't he keep doing it. We do need to be smarter in that situation and realise what's happening and not lay a finger on him.

Same with the Barrow game last season. The referee got himself in situation to blow up every time a player threw himself to the ground or Stack waved his arms in the air. Barrow did it again this year and Griffiths was the referee.

Teams don't do it with the likes of Thaler.
We're not completely innocent. Lilley does it too. But until the referees get a grip, players will always try gain an advantage.

I keep saying it it no one takes any notice, make the officials get changed in the pavilion and walk through the crowd.

We have a ramshackle ground so make it work for us. Close off the refs changing room under the terrace.

This sort of crap will soon die out. I’d like to see the ref allow Luke Gale to call the game when hes got to make his way back through the crowd after.
