Don’t know what to make of this Not been his best this year but still a vital player for us
Kicking game seems to be an obvious flaw in his game, but not to say it can’t improve Always thought the NRL would come calling and he’d be destined to go back. But if a superlegaue team has come calling and activated his clause then would be disappointing not kto keep him, especially with his dad at the helm, must be a big hitter or big big cash Only thing I’d note, no where in there a mention of the club in question, if the clause had been activated surly the club would have been leaked with the story, hull havent excatly been able to keep this sort of thing quiet, but could be saints? But without a club there in name I do wonder if it’s a ploy for better terms, or if it’s genuine, time will tell but imagine it would have come as a shock to the club and especially if he’s pushing for a move in England
Would surly hope we had been very clear in the clause being NRL only

Without being disrespectful, I'm struggling to think of an NRL club that Lam could nail a starting spot at in 2025? Saints look the most likely club in SL to poach him as a replacement for Dodd. But that would involve a transfer fee
Perhaps at a time when some SL clubs are already announcing new players for 2025 that Leigh will announce Lam's contract extension very soon?

He is contracted until the end of the 2025 season. He will either go back to the NRL before the end of that contract, or stay at Leigh until then. Personally, I think he will go back to Oz before the end of 2025. I hope I'm wrong though.
Here we go again with Myler and his club. These guys poking the bear and causing unrest with a player that is under contract.Has he no morals. I had an idea it was these guys when the story broke, as it was from a publication from the other side of the Pennines. Lockie needs to say something and quickly and put this to bed.

Lam, or his agent, have obviously instigated this - not Hull FC. Of course they would be interested if he was available, as a group of fans we would be annoyed if he hadn't made an offer. But to suggest they've instigated it and caused unrest is a bit rich

This is true. However, what I would say is the reports have named two clubs. Catalans are reported to monitoring the situation of his availability. While Hull are jumping in with a massive offer.

That's probably more a case of Hull being able to do so with a rebuild of the current squad and more than likely having readily available cap space and marquee space as opposed to Catalans who may have to shuffle their pack first so to speak before the can make an offer.
The only people that can have instigated anything are Lams agent and Lam himself to sanction his agent activating the clause and then put him on the market to other clubs. Once they've made it known he's possibly available you can't say any club that makes him an offer is doping anything underhand as you'd expect a player such Lachlan Lam would have all SL clubs sit up, be on notice and put an offer to him if in a position to do so.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
At the end of the day all clubs have the same salary cap so if Leigh want to keep him, and he is a marquees player then it’s upto Chester & Co to decide if he is worth that investment, if he is adamant he doesn’t want to stay at Leigh then let him go. There are plenty of halfbacks in the NRL not getting game time.
