The club activated Tai's 2nd year option last week. No idea when it will get announced.
Like I said in reply to your earlier post you know before the club Do you know if we have shown interest in Lam.

Surely Lam would be a Marquee signing for any Superleague team, if he left Leigh.
We don't have a Marquee vacancy, so the Salary Cap would be a major problem to offering him a contract with us.
Fair point, just when I saw his name pop up on a thread earlier today and Abe mentioning a Drinkwater replacement I just threw is name in. Just hoping the possible half coming in is someone decent.
Having not replaced Kasiano, and having shipped out Dwyer, Dudson and Russell, we had an overseas space plus "a big chunk of salary cap'" This meant that we could move to bring in Yates this season and we still have some space left.
On the subject of Drinkwater he says, "At the minute, we’re pretty tight on the cap for next year". This would suggest that we're already planning to use up Nicholson's and, at least part of, Drinkwater's salaries, plus the remaining 'chunk' on another player or players. Maybe some will go on improved contracts for some of the young 'uns, but it still sounds like a significant signing tba.

Lam would be a good signing. Only 26 still and yet to enter his prime. You'd have an Aussie who would unlikely to become home sick having been settled here a couple of years now and his Dad being here. If we're after a number 7 as Abe says, you would think he'd be high on the list.

I too would welcome Lachlan Lam to Wire.
If it is possible to sign him, maybe we could move King on to another club and sign a cheaper centre?

Just a change of approach from the club in the message they put out. It reduces fan expectations, and let's Agents know we aren't a soft touch and won't pay over the odds. I mentioned it a few months ago I think.
